About

The Centre for Population Ageing Research (CEPAR) was established in March 2011 and has been funded through the ARC Centre of Excellence Scheme by the Australian Research Council from 2011 - 2024 to undertake high-impact, independent, multidisciplinary research and build research capacity in the field of population ageing. provides Australia, the greater Pacific region, and the world, with crucial new knowledge to inform social and economic responses to one of the most important challenges of the 21st century.

CEPAR's latest research and two-way engagement program is based at the University of New South Wales and will inform new and more coherent whole-of-government approaches to sustainable social policy development, and to support complementary private provision of post-retirement support. These will help guide policy line departments, financial services providers, regulators and individuals in their life course decision-making and risk management.
