CEPAR ECR Methodology Workshop

Topic: The case study approach: from theory to practice

This course will explore what a case study approach is, when researchers might consider undertaking a case study approach, and how a case study approach might be used. It will consider different types of case studies, including mixed-method case studies, and options for case study design.


Presenter’s Biographies

Associate Professor Catherine Welch
Catherine Welch is an Associate Professor in the Discipline of International Business at the University of Sydney and a Distinguished Visitor Professor at Aalto University. She has had a longstanding interest in qualitative research methodology and in case research in particular.

Associate Professor Myra Hamilton
Associate Professor Myra Hamilton is a CEPAR Principal Research Fellow at the University of Sydney and is based in the School of Work and Organisational Studies. She is a sociologist and social policy researcher whose research focus is on gender, work and care across the life-course.
