This research stream aims to:
- transform Australia’s understanding of SEA population dynamics and their economic and social implications, to inform Australian economic, aid, trade, and investment policy in coming decades;
- generate innovative new analyses of SEA population dynamics to inform strategic planning in Australia, and inform Australia's international engagement with the region, both diplomatic and commercial;
- identify policies with the best potential to offset the most serious economic, fiscal and social implications of the demographic transition.
